MyPaintBuckets: painting operations, run as a system.
Project management, material ordering, and scheduling software for residential painting businesses — live in production for years, and still built and maintained by us.
Painting is an operations business
A residential painting company lives or dies on coordination: estimates become jobs, jobs need crews, crews need the right materials on the right morning, and the paint itself moves through store orders that have to match what the job actually needs. In most painting businesses that coordination lives in phone calls, text threads, paper tickets, and the owner’s memory.
That works until the business grows — then it quietly stops working. Jobs slip, material runs get duplicated or missed, and the owner becomes the bottleneck for every decision.
MyPaintBuckets began exactly there. The painting operations it grew up inside ran on paper and Excel, with heavy administrative effort spent every day keeping the two in agreement with reality. The product exists because we automated those operations end to end — and then kept going.
Fit the trade, not the template
Generic field-service SaaS treats every trade the same. Painting has its own shape: material ordering tied to specific store interactions, scheduling that shifts with weather and job progress, and crews that need clear answers without a training course. The software had to mirror how painting operations actually run, or the crews and owners simply wouldn’t use it (generic field-service SaaS fails painters on exactly this point).
A system of record for the whole job cycle
- Project management — every job tracked from intake through completion, visible to the people who need it.
- Material ordering — orders built against real jobs and handled through the store interactions painters already rely on.
- Scheduling — crews and jobs matched day by day, with changes propagating instead of getting lost in texts.
- Production operations — deployed, monitored, and maintained by the same team that built it.
Years in production, without interruption
MyPaintBuckets launched in the Orlando market and has continued running in production for years without interruption. Multiple independent residential-painting businesses run their daily operations on it today: jobs, material orders, scheduling, store interactions.
It’s also why our painting-contractor vertical page exists: the product put years of painting-operations depth into the team.
